Summary

This study looked at whether applying milrinone or nitroglycerin directly onto a heart artery during bypass surgery can increase blood flow. 46 adults having planned heart surgery took part. The goal was simply to measure and compare the effects of these drugs on artery flow, not to treat a disease or improve long-term outcomes.
