Could a daily milk drink tame cholesterol and soothe your gut?

NCT ID NCT05700916

Summary

This study is testing whether drinking a beverage rich in a specific type of milk fat (milk polar lipids) daily for 8 weeks can improve heart health markers. Researchers will enroll 130 adults with high cholesterol and abdominal obesity to see if the drink lowers 'bad' LDL cholesterol, reduces body-wide inflammation, and changes gut bacteria. Participants will be randomly assigned to drink either the test beverage or a control dairy drink.
