Massive study digs into 4,500 head injury cases to find better emergency room rules
NCT ID NCT07339319
Summary
This study looks back at the medical records of 4,500 adults who went to the emergency room with a mild head injury. Researchers want to see how often serious complications happen and check if two common decision-making tools used by doctors are accurate at predicting who needs a brain scan. The goal is to help emergency rooms make better, faster decisions for patients with head trauma.
