New migraine pill aims to stop pain in 2 hours

Summary

This study tested a new medicine called BHV-2100 to see if it can safely and effectively stop migraine headaches. About 647 people with migraines received either the drug or a placebo pill when a migraine started. Researchers measured how many people were pain-free and free of their most bothersome symptom (like nausea or light sensitivity) two hours after taking the dose.
