First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated May 02, 2026 · Updated 21 times
Summary
This study tested a new, low-power microwave imaging system (Wavelia #2) to see if it can find and measure breast lumps without using radiation. 73 women with known breast abnormalities took part. The goal was to check how well the device detects both cancerous and non-cancerous lesions and measures their size compared to standard ultrasound.
