New Radiation-Free scanner aims to spot breast cancer
NCT ID NCT05757427
Summary
This study tested a new microwave imaging device called Wavelia #2 to see if it can detect and measure breast cancer tumors. The device uses safe, non-radiation microwaves to create images based on differences between healthy and cancerous tissue. Researchers enrolled 73 women with breast abnormalities to compare the microwave images with standard ultrasound results and biopsy findings.
