Heat therapy trial offers hope for painful blood vessel growths
NCT ID NCT07404670
Summary
This study is testing whether a minimally invasive heat treatment called microwave ablation can safely shrink abnormal clusters of blood vessels known as vascular malformations. Researchers will enroll 150 patients with painful or swollen lesions and treat them with one session of the procedure, then follow them for a year using MRI scans. The goal is to see if this approach reduces lesion size by at least half and improves symptoms like pain and swelling.
