Robot-Guided heat treatment targets lung tumors
NCT ID NCT05299606
Summary
This study tested a new robotic procedure to destroy small lung tumors that have spread from other cancers. Doctors used a robotic bronchoscope to guide a microwave probe directly to the tumor, then heated and destroyed it. The main goal was to see if this technique could completely eliminate the targeted tumors one month after treatment.
