Can a microscope save your tooth? new dental trial investigates
NCT ID NCT07388862
Summary
This study aims to see if using a high-powered dental microscope during a 'pulpotomy' procedure leads to better long-term results for saving a painful, cavity-damaged tooth. It will compare the microscope-assisted procedure to the standard method done with the naked eye. About 50 adult patients with a specific type of severe tooth inflammation will be randomly assigned to one of the two methods and followed for years to check the tooth's health.
