NCT ID NCT07231198
Summary
This study aims to find out if tiny plastic particles, called microplastics, are present in the gums of people with severe gum disease (periodontitis). Researchers will collect plaque samples from 25 adults who have not yet started treatment. The goal is to see if these environmental particles are present and might be linked to worsening inflammation.
