First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 25 times

Summary

This study tests a new treatment for people who suddenly lose vision due to a blocked artery in the eye (retinal artery occlusion). Doctors will use a tiny needle to inject medicine directly into the eye's artery, combined with a standard eye surgery called vitrectomy. The goal is to see if this approach can safely improve vision within one month and over a year. The study will enroll 24 adults who have had vision loss for 7 days or less.
