First seen May 07, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This study tests whether a special micro-electrode can safely record the activity of individual brain cells during epileptic seizures. It involves 30 adults with drug-resistant epilepsy who are already scheduled for brain surgery. The goal is to better understand what happens in the brain during seizures, not to treat the condition directly.
