NCT ID NCT05209100
First seen Apr 20, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 11 times
Summary
This study looked at how bacteria in the gut might be involved in non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD). Researchers measured the distance between gut microbes and intestinal cells in 38 adults aged 35-65. The goal was to understand if bacteria getting too close to the gut lining plays a role in liver health. This was an observational study, meaning it did not test any treatment.
