Living algae bandage could revolutionize wound healing

NCT ID NCT07157657

Summary

This study is testing a new type of skin-healing patch that contains tiny, oxygen-producing algae. Researchers want to see if this 'living bandage' helps serious skin wounds heal faster and with fewer infections compared to standard patches. The trial involves 20 adults with deep skin wounds, who will receive either the new algae patch or the standard version for comparison.
