First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 15 times
Summary
This study tested a smartphone-based program to help African American men who were not up-to-date on colorectal cancer screening. 128 men received either the program (texts with videos) or standard educational texts. After 6 months, researchers checked medical records to see who got screened. The goal was to see if the smartphone program works better than regular information at getting men screened.
