Phone app aims to boost HIV prevention pill use among young thai men
NCT ID NCT05243030
Summary
This study tested whether a mobile app and supportive text messages could help young Thai men who have sex with men start taking and consistently using HIV prevention pills (PrEP). 119 participants were randomly assigned to receive either the app and texts plus standard counseling, or just standard counseling, and were followed for six months. The main goal was to see if the digital tools were easy to use, acceptable, and showed early signs of helping people take their PrEP as prescribed.
