Summary

This study tested a mobile health program called SurgeryPal to see if it could help teens recover better after major spine surgery and prevent short-term pain from turning into long-term chronic pain. Over 400 teens aged 12–18 having spinal fusion surgery took part. They used the app before and after surgery, and researchers tracked their pain and quality of life for six months.
