Live bacteria treatment tested for bowel disease
NCT ID NCT07296315
Summary
This study aims to confirm if a new treatment called MH002 is effective and safe for people with mild-to-moderate ulcerative colitis (UC) whose symptoms aren't fully controlled by their current medication. MH002 is a 'live biotherapeutic' containing specific bacteria designed to help restore a healthy gut. The trial will test two different doses against a placebo in about 204 participants over 12 weeks to see if it reduces gut inflammation and improves symptoms.
