Old dye gets new shot at fighting tough cancer

NCT ID NCT07435415

Summary

This early safety study is testing whether injecting a blue dye called methylene blue directly into tumors can make radiation therapy more effective for head and neck cancer that has come back after previous radiation. Ten patients will receive weekly injections along with six weeks of radiation to see if the combination is safe and shows promise. The goal is to find a new way to control this difficult-to-treat recurrence.
