Summary
This study tested if spraying a blue dye called methylene blue during thyroid surgery helps surgeons see and protect important nerves and glands. It involved 136 patients having surgery for a benign thyroid condition. The goal was to see if using the spray reduced the risk of nerve damage and low calcium levels after surgery.
