Blue light therapy could drain abscesses faster

Summary
This study tests whether adding a special light-activated blue dye treatment to the usual drainage procedure can help clear deep abscesses faster. About 120 adults with abscesses needing drainage will be split into three groups: one gets the standard drainage alone, another gets drainage plus a fixed dose of the dye and light, and the third gets a personalized dose based on pre-treatment measurements. The main goal is to see if the dye treatment shortens the time the drainage tube needs to stay in place.
