First seen Jan 22, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 19 times

Summary

This study checked if a blue dye called methylene blue, which is often used to find lymph nodes during breast cancer surgery, affects blood pressure and heart rate while patients are under anesthesia. Researchers compared 220 women who got the dye with those who did not. The goal was to see if the dye helps prevent low blood pressure and reduces the need for extra medicines during surgery.
