Blood test could predict lung cancer return after surgery

NCT ID NCT07257458

First seen Jan 09, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 19 times

Summary

This study looks at whether a blood test measuring specific gene markers (SHOX2 and PTGER4) can find lung cancer early and track if it comes back after surgery. About 30 adults with non-small cell lung cancer will give blood samples before and after surgery for up to two years. The goal is to see if these markers can help doctors decide who needs extra treatment and who can avoid it.
