First seen Feb 04, 2026 · Last updated Apr 24, 2026 · Updated 8 times
Summary
This study tests whether adding etanercept to standard methotrexate therapy helps children with juvenile idiopathic arthritis achieve low disease activity faster. Sixty children aged 2-16 with newly diagnosed polyarticular JIA will be split into two groups: one gets methotrexate alone, the other gets both drugs. The goal is to see which approach better controls joint inflammation over six months.
