First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 26, 2026 · Updated 21 times

Summary

This study tests whether methotrexate, a drug used for rheumatoid arthritis, can reduce pain and swelling in people with knee osteoarthritis who have joint inflammation seen on ultrasound. About 70 adults aged 40–70 will receive either methotrexate or standard care for 6 months. Researchers will measure pain, function, and ultrasound changes to see if methotrexate offers additional relief.
