Researchers probe heart risks in meth users with and without psychosis

NCT ID NCT07459244

Summary

This study aims to understand how methamphetamine use affects heart health, especially in people who develop psychosis from the drug. Researchers will compare heart electrical readings (ECGs) from 240 people in three groups: those with methamphetamine addiction, those with methamphetamine-induced psychosis, and healthy volunteers. The goal is to see if psychosis is linked to more serious heart rhythm risks.
