NCT ID NCT05675735
First seen Jan 30, 2026 · Last updated May 06, 2026 · Updated 18 times
Summary
This study looks at whether helping clinics change their rules and practices around methadone take-home doses can improve how long people stay in treatment for opioid use disorder. Researchers will work with 36 clinics and about 318 patients to see if offering more take-home doses (like 7, 14, or 28-day supplies) reduces emergency visits and hospital stays. The goal is to make treatment more convenient and effective without requiring daily clinic visits.
