New approach to start addiction treatment for fentanyl users
NCT ID NCT06877858
Summary
This study aims to find a safe and effective starting dose of methadone for people addicted to fentanyl. Researchers will test a 'loading dose' method against the standard approach in 24 participants to see if it better controls withdrawal symptoms. The main goal is to identify a dose that is strong enough to help but safe enough for future larger studies.
