New hope in fight against meth addiction: major trial tests drug combo

NCT ID NCT06233799

Summary

This study is testing whether a combination of two existing medications can help people reduce or stop using methamphetamine. 360 adults with moderate to severe methamphetamine addiction will receive either the active drug combination or placebo injections and pills for 12 weeks. Researchers will measure success by checking if participants can provide drug-free urine samples near the end of treatment.
