Summary
This study aims to find out if taking a pill (metformin) works as well as insulin shots for managing diabetes that develops during pregnancy (gestational diabetes). Researchers will follow over 1,500 pregnant people and their babies for two years to see which treatment leads to better health outcomes for both mother and child. The goal is to provide clearer evidence to help doctors and patients choose the most effective and manageable treatment.
