Summary
This small pilot study looked at whether taking metformin 30 or 60 minutes before a meal, instead of during it, changes how the body absorbs carbohydrates. Researchers tested this in one person with obesity and prediabetes or type 2 diabetes using glucose drinks. The goal was to see if earlier dosing could improve blood sugar control and understand any stomach side effects.
