Summary
This study looked at whether adding metformin, a common diabetes medicine, to standard chemotherapy could help people with advanced ovarian, fallopian tube, or primary peritoneal cancer. About 111 participants received either metformin or a placebo alongside chemo, then continued metformin or placebo as maintenance. The goal was to see if metformin could delay cancer progression.
