Could a diabetes drug help heal infant brains?

Summary
This study tests whether the diabetes drug metformin is safe and practical to give to infants who suffered brain injury from lack of oxygen at birth. About 30 babies under 6 months old will receive metformin to see if it helps their brain development. The main goal is to check for side effects and see if families are willing to join the study.
