Summary
This study is testing if metformin, a common diabetes medication, can help reduce pain and improve healing in people with chronic Achilles tendon problems. Forty participants with this condition will take either metformin or a placebo pill for 16 weeks while also doing a home exercise program. The main goal is to see if the drug helps people feel less pain and function better in their daily activities.
