First seen Sep 30, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 26 times

Summary

This study tests whether metformin, a common diabetes drug, along with wearable activity trackers, can reduce memory and thinking problems caused by brain radiation. About 100 adults who have had or will have cranial radiation for a brain tumor will participate remotely using online tests and a smartwatch. The goal is to see if this approach is practical and helps protect cognitive function.
