Summary
This study looks at how a short course of metformin, a common diabetes medicine, affects exercise performance in healthy young adults. Fourteen participants will take metformin or a placebo and complete stationary bike tests to measure endurance and blood lactate levels. The goal is to see if metformin reduces aerobic capacity, which could impact how people with diabetes or athletes use the drug.
