New mesh tested to stop hernias from returning after surgery
NCT ID NCT06444347
Summary
This study is testing whether adding a special synthetic mesh during robotic anti-reflux surgery can help prevent hiatal hernias from coming back. About 200 adults scheduled for this surgery will be randomly assigned to have the procedure with or without the mesh. Researchers will track how many hernias return and measure changes in reflux and swallowing symptoms after surgery.
