First seen Feb 01, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 11 times

Summary

This study compared two types of surgical mesh used to repair vaginal vault prolapse, a condition where the top of the vagina drops down. 106 women having laparoscopic or robotic surgery were randomly assigned to receive either Restorelle® Y mesh or Vertessa® Lite Y mesh. The main goal was to see if Vertessa® Lite was as good as Restorelle® at preventing prolapse from coming back, while also checking for complications.
