New drug combo tested for Tough-to-Treat skin cancer

Summary
This study is for people with advanced Merkel cell carcinoma, a rare and aggressive skin cancer, that has worsened despite prior immunotherapy. It is testing whether a new oral drug called tuvusertib, which targets cancer cell DNA repair, works better alone or when combined with an immunotherapy drug (avelumab). The main goal is to see which approach keeps the cancer from growing for a longer period of time.
