First seen Nov 17, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 21 times

Summary

This study tested two treatments for meralgia paresthetica, a condition causing pain, numbness, and tingling in the outer thigh. Researchers compared pulsed radiofrequency ablation (using radio waves to calm the nerve) with steroid injections in 22 adults whose symptoms didn't improve with simple measures. The goal was to see which treatment better reduces pain and nerve-related symptoms.
