Scientists track asthma drug's hidden effects in the body
NCT ID NCT05063981
Summary
This study aimed to understand how the asthma medication mepolizumab affects inflammation in the nose, lungs, and body of people with severe, hard-to-treat asthma. Researchers followed 15 adult patients for one year after they started the drug, measuring various markers in their blood and breath. The goal was to see how changes in these markers relate to improvements in asthma symptoms and lung function.
