NCT ID NCT07482046
First seen Mar 22, 2026 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 7 times
Summary
This study tested whether a menthol gel applied to the skin helps recreational runners feel cooler and perform better during exercise in hot conditions. 37 healthy adults aged 18-45 ran twice, once with a 4% menthol gel and once with a placebo gel. Researchers measured thermal sensation, body temperature, heart rate, and perceived effort to see if the gel made a difference.
