Can a new talk therapy stop psychosis before it starts?
NCT ID NCT07093671
Summary
This study is testing whether a specialized talk therapy, called Mentalization-Based Treatment, can help prevent or delay the onset of full psychosis in young people who show early warning signs. It will compare the therapy plus standard care against standard care alone in 212 participants aged 14 to 30. The main goal is to see if the therapy reduces the chance of developing psychosis and lessens early symptoms over a year of follow-up.
