Mind over matter: can thinking about exercise speed knee surgery recovery?
NCT ID NCT07327190
Summary
This study is testing if adding mental training exercises to standard physical therapy helps people recover better after knee replacement surgery. It will involve about 40 patients who have had surgery for knee arthritis. Participants will be split into groups to receive either standard therapy alone, or standard therapy plus guided mental practice or video observation of exercises, to see which approach best reduces pain and improves movement.
