New approach aims to tackle maternal mental health crisis through home visits
NCT ID NCT06575894
Summary
This study aims to see if adding a proven mental health program called 'Mothers and Babies' to existing home visiting services can help reduce depression and anxiety in pregnant and postpartum women. It will involve 1,750 home visitors and program staff in Iowa and Indiana, focusing on rural areas where access to care is limited. Researchers will test a tailored support method to help home visitors successfully deliver the mental health sessions to the families they serve.
