New approach aims to get kids in foster care the mental health help they need

Summary
This study looks at a new way to help children in the child welfare system get connected to mental health services. Researchers are testing a team meeting method called After Action Review to make sure families and children have a real say in their care plans. About 320 caseworkers, leaders, and family members will take part to see if this approach improves teamwork and follow-through on mental health referrals.
