New program aims to slash wait times for psychiatric care
NCT ID NCT06581874
Summary
This study is testing a new system called 'med@psy' that helps general doctors quickly connect their adult patients with a psychiatrist for a consultation within 48 hours. Researchers want to see if getting this fast-tracked care leads to better ongoing treatment compared to patients who only visit a psychiatric emergency room. They will follow 478 patients to see who is still getting care one month and three months later.
