First seen Jan 09, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 20 times
Summary
This study tests whether doing simple mental math (like addition or subtraction) just before walking can help stroke survivors move faster and keep their balance better. Seventeen participants will be asked to walk and perform balance tests after either doing math problems or resting quietly. The goal is to see if this easy, drug-free technique can improve daily mobility.
