First seen Mar 21, 2026 · Last updated May 09, 2026 · Updated 3 times

Summary

This study aims to understand how the menstrual cycle changes blood sugar and energy use in women with type 1 diabetes. Researchers will monitor 40 women aged 18-45 who have natural cycles and use closed-loop insulin pumps. The goal is to see if hormone shifts affect insulin needs and glucose levels, which could help personalize diabetes care.
