Menopause mystery: do hormones control your nerves?
NCT ID NCT07420218
First seen Feb 27, 2026 · Last updated May 11, 2026 · Updated 9 times
Summary
This study looks at how changes in hormones during menopause (estradiol and FSH) affect the body's 'fight or flight' nervous system. Researchers will give 80 perimenopausal women a medication to temporarily control these hormones, and some will also receive estradiol to see its specific effects. The goal is to understand the link between hormones and nerve activity, which could help manage menopause symptoms in the future.
